1. UNINTENTIONAL DELAYS
Yeners Cakes will take all precautions to deliver an order on time. In the event of an accident or unforseen mishaps e.g. traffic jams or punctured tyre, where the cake is damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced, resulting in a delay in delivery, Yeners Cakes will not be held liable and thus, will not refund the cost of the cake.
2. PICK-UP
All cakes picked up by customers or their assigned personnel must be carried out with maximum care. They must not subject the cake to these suboptimal transporting and keeping conditions which might damage the cake: Transporting in non-air conditioned cars, exposure to direct sunlight, reckless driving, placing the cake on uneven surfaces, keeping the cake for prolonged periods in room temperature etc. Yeners Cakes will NOT be responsible for the condition of the cake once it is picked up.
3. PAYMENT
Orders are confirmed once a deposit is placed. In the event of a cancellation, Yeners Cakes holds the right to charge a non-refundable administration fee of $20. Total payment must be made 7 days prior to the pick-up or delivery date for the cake, unless an alternative agreement has been made between both parties.
4. RECEIVING PERSONNEL
It is the responsibility of the customer to assign someone to be present to receive the cake upon delivery. This person must ensure that; 1) a table is prepared as instructed; 2) the room where the cake is kept is optimally cool. Upon receiving the cake, he/she must check the cake to ensure that it is in good condition and then sign the order form, confirming that the cake was "Received in good condition".
5. NON-EDIBLE PARTS
Some cakes may contain non-edible parts that are used in its construction. Information about non-edible parts will be clearly explained to the customer, verbally and in writing, by Yeners Cakes's staff. It is the responsibility of the customer, assigned personnel and the chef-in-charge to ensure that these non-edible parts are not served to and consumed by anybody in any way.
6. PORTION SIZE
The size of one standard portion of a cake is approximately 3 X 2 X 1 inch or 7.5 X 5 X 2.5 cm. However, some customers might choose to serve sizes that are smaller or bigger that that specified. It is the customer's responsibility to inform the chef-in-charge about the preferred cake size so that the desired number of portions is served.
7. ALLERGIES & OTHER HEALTH RELATED ISSUES
A cake may contain gluten, nuts, food colour, preservatives or other allergic substances that are present in the ingredients purchased from our suppliers. It is the responsibility of the customer to avoid all potential health hazards that might arise from consumption of such substances. Any part of the cake that contains gold or silver food colours are purely for decorative purposes, and thus, must be discarded and not consumed.
8. CHANGES IN DESIGN
Yeners Cakes's chef's retain the right to make any minor changes to a cake's design without any extra cost to the customer if he/she deems it necessary for aesthetic reasons.
9. FADING COLOURS
Some food colours inevitably fade with exposure to light and therefore, some decorations or icing colours that contain these colours might differ slightly in colour from the intended colour ordered by the customer.
10. FRESH FLOWERS
If customers prefer to use fresh flowers on their cakes, they or their florist must supply the flowers in the best conditions, to Yeners Cakes within the specified time. Yeners Cakes's chefs will arrange these flowers on the cake as requested by a customer but they will not be held responsible for the condition of the flowers once the cake is delivered. Fresh flowers are ideally recommended to be arranged by the customer's florist on an "Oasis" that is then to be placed directly on the cake. Otherwise, to prevent direct contact of the flowers stem on the cake, the florist should deliver the flowers individually prewired & taped.
11. PACKAGING
Cakes packed in large boxes for delivery or pick-up should not be removed from the top of the boxes. Please follow these steps when removing the cake from its box: 1) Sit the box on a firm surface. e.g. a table. 2) Cut the box vertically downwards on its two front panels with a box cutter, 3) Pull and bend the sides of the box down to the level of the table, 4) Ease the cake gently out of the box.
12. CENTREPIECES
Sugar & chocolate decorations and centrepieces on cakes may be kept after an event but they might not last forever, as they are not made for this purpose. Yeners Cakes will not be held responsible for these items once they are delivered or picked up.
13. MAINTAINING THE INTEGRITY OF THE CAKE
Multi-tiered cakes with pillars are built on one-piece stands to ensure that they do not topple over during transport. Attempts to remove the top tiers of cakes might result in some damage to the cakes.
14. PUBLICATIONS
Yeners Cakes reserves the right to publish photographs of cakes produced by us, in all forms of media, e.g. magazines and advertisements, unless otherwise agreed upon by Yeners Cakes and its customers.
15. SURCHARGE FOR LATE ORDERS
An additional charge applies to Wedding/3D/Special cake orders placed within 5 working days of the event date.
Surcharges are as follows:
5 working days - 10%
4 working days - 15%
3 working days - 20%
2 working days - 35%
1 working days - 50%
Orders are still subject to confirm.

In the case of wrong flavour of the cake,Yeners Cakes will not refund any money. Customers will receive exact size of the particular cake in correct flavour (not decorated), free of charge at a time of customers choice (valid for 12 months).
